The Complete Persepolis is a series of 4 bande dessinées comics created by Marjane Satrapi. The original works were published between 2000 and 2004.
Marjane Satrapi tells her story of growing up in Iran during and after the Islamic Revolution. Starting from her childhood till the age of 24 she describes how historical events have affected not just her life but also her entire family. This graphic novel gives a glimpse of how the Islamic Revolution has changed Iran over the years.

If you liked this graphic novel, you might be also interested in watching the animated film that was written and directed by Marjane Satrapi together with Vincent Paronnoud in 2007. Check it out here. It was nominated for the Best Animated Feature award at the 80th Academy Awards.Following the 2009 Iranian presidential election, a ten pages long comic titled Persepolis 2.0 was created by Iranian-born artists living in Shanghai.
